Prep & Prep:

  • 8th October

  • 12pm -1:45pm at the Volunteer Centre

  • The session delivered by Spectra will focus on HIV prevention and intervention awareness. It will also cover prep and pep as preventative measures in the battle against HIV infections. This is ideal for volunteers who support vulnerable women at risk of contracting HIV.

Volunteer Wellbeing:

  • 9th October

  • 10am - 12pm at The Recovery Hub

  • This training is designed for volunteers to enable them to better understand the meaning of wellbeing. We will also look at approaches to improve and maintain good mental health.

    During the session we will cover:

  • What is wellbeing 

  • Key elements that help us keep well

  • Tips on how to use volunteering as part of your wellbeing

  • Reflection time

Keeping boundaries training for volunteers:

  • 19th October

  • 10am - 2pm at the Volunteer Centre

  • This training is designed for volunteers who carry out service user and client facing roles such as mentoring and befriending. The session will introduce the concept of creating and keeping boundaries, demonstrating the need to establish appropriate relationships within a voluntary role.

The training will cover:

  • What are boundaries?

  • The importance of appropriate conduct

  • Scenario based exercises

  • Reflection time
