About Us

LWRA is an independent body whose sole purpose is to serve and protect the interests of residents on Lancaster West Estate. All members of the committee are volunteers and live on the estate. We aim to work closely with all our residents to make a lasting change and reflect the beauty of our community in our estate. 

The RA general meeting is open to all residents of Lancaster West Estate (please bring proof of address).

 

Featured Projects

Employment & Training Hub

Lancaster West Residents’ Association in partnership with LWNT, was pleased to open the Employment and Training Hub in Baseline Studios in May 2023. The Hub is a purpose-built space to support residents with employment and training initiatives and an opportunity to access the internet to support with education and work.

 
 

Weekly: Monday Breakfast - Thursday Lunch

Every Monday, we host a Community Breakfast between 10 am and 12 pm at the North Kensington Resource Centre. And on Thursday we serve a hot meal between 12 and 2 pm cooked by our passionate residents. Pop down for a free meal and friendly chat with your neighbours.

Grenfell Tower Response and Recovery

 

A new programme of support has been launched for the next four years. Funded through the Grenfell Global Settlement Agreement, the programme includes:

  • support for the bereaved and survivors

  • Support for the immediate community near Grenfell Tower: Grenfell Community Support

  • education and training support for bereaved, survivors and the immediate community

Grenfell Community Support is focussed on people who lived within 500m of the tower at the time of the tragedy or live in the area.

Subject to eligibility, the support will entitle you to:

  • £350 household wellbeing grant

  • free membership to Kensington Leisure Centre

  • support from the Grenfell Community Advocacy team

  • community activities, due to be launched later in 2025

  • a new programme of communications and engagement
